Del Mar Golf Center’s Toptracer Technology Offers Serious Stats, Group Fun
Topgolf has become known as a place where golf meets entertainment, in a world where the sport previously found in quiet country clubs can take on the vibe of a downtown dance club. Dallas-based Topgolf Entertainment Group introduced “Toptracer” technology for the driving range, and Del Mar Golf Center was an early adopter.
If you’re a fan of the traditional driving range, and you want to concentrate on your form while you hit a bucket of balls, Del Mar Golf Center has certainly got that.
But if you’re looking for something a little more cutting edge, gamified or social, you may want to give one of Del Mar Golf Center’s Toptracer hitting bays a try.
The Toptracer Range offers high-tech ball-tracking cameras and displays the results of your shots with on-screen graphics displaying shot statistics like ball speed, distance, launch angle and instant replay. If you’re serious about your game, you can study your stats to guide game improvements.
Toptracer is an opportunity for some spirited and friendly competition, perfect for a group outing. Del Mar Golf Center’s Toptracer hitting bay includes a bucket of balls (105 balls) and fits up to four people. Food and beverage service is offered from the Surf’s Up Café, and group reservations can be made in advance.
