Guiding the Future of the Fairgrounds

“The Golden State” – rich in history, resources and innovation. California’s fairgrounds are recreational, cultural and educational gathering centers, and here at the Del Mar Fairgrounds we’re proud to celebrate the agriculture, industry and ingenuity found plentiful right here in our community.

We serve all San Diego County residents and are affiliated with the State of California.

Here’s the team guiding the 22nd District Agricultural Association.

Board of Directors

Operated by the 22nd District Agricultural Association on behalf of the State of California, the Del Mar Fairgrounds is governed by a nine-member board, all appointed by the Governor. Each serves a four-year term.

The Board meets monthly, and appoints a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) charged with the day-to-day operation of the facilities.

Meeting notices, agendas and supporting documents are posted as required by the California Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act.

Correspondence is forwarded to the board on a weekly basis. Correspondence is considered public and is included in the monthly board packet.
